Full course description
Overview
A lighter, asynchronous version of the 14-credit Graduate Certificate program, this course helps public and private sector leaders to identify, transition and leverage emergent technology into and across their organizations and markets. Through the use of recorded lectures and interactive learning experiences, learners will explore the practical challenges of technology development and adoption, review best practices in R&D management and innovation, identify where public policy and private enterprise meet in science and technology, and craft strategies to cultivate emergent technology from concept to commercial use.
In this course, you will:
- Review the process for designing, engineering, testing, and commercializing new technology
- Identify enterprise tech requirements and best practices in risk management
- Create market and mission strategies for emergent tech
- Model and manage the ethical implications of new tech
Structure
The course is completely self paced. It will take you approximately 30 hours to complete all 6 modules. Activities include video lessons, readings, and self reflection activities. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion.
